Installing and Configuring a LAMP Sever on Linux Mint 8

LAMP stands for Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP are a very common configuration for Linux-based web servers.

Installing LAMP with one click

Open Synaptic and choose Edit > Mark packages by task… Then select the check box next to LAMP Server, click OK, and click Apply. Your LAMP server is ready.

You can see a lot of other packages are also available there, so you can try the ones you want to check.
