Installation & Configuration Guide

1. Download Extension

Get the Stable Diffusion extension .oxt file from the official LibreOffice extension site or GitHub release page.

2. Install Extension in LibreOffice

Open LibreOffice.

Go to Tools → Extension Manager → Add.

Select the downloaded .oxt file and install it.

3. Configure the AI Backend

The extension typically requires a Stable Diffusion API endpoint.

You can:

Use a local Stable Diffusion instance (via Automatic1111, ComfyUI, or InvokeAI) and point the extension to http://localhost:7860.

Or configure it to connect to a remote API (like a hosted Stable Diffusion service).

4. Using Inside LibreOffice

After installation, you’ll see a new AI Image Generation option under the Insert or Tools menu.

Enter your prompt (e.g., “Generate an office background with modern design”).

The image will be generated and inserted directly into your document or presentation.

5. Optional Settings

Adjust parameters such as resolution, sampling steps, or styles in the extension settings.

Ensure your API key (if required) is set under the extension preferences.
